So Luciano Ayres is a talented ANSI artist, and he's been offering and
selling ANSI screens and themes at http://ansigarden.blogspot.com. These are wonderful pieces of work, and it's nice to see ANSI artists cater to BBSes in the form of menus and themes, rather than just long scrollers advertising
    this or that BBS.

Can somebody here tell me what group Luciano contributes to? I'd love to see more of what he's done. I'm guessing I have much of his work in my ANSI gallery. I just don't know where to look.

Luciano is Enzo from Blocktronics, the ansigarden is for non-exclusive sale, so

they will stay available for sale. Anybody can buy them.. I just bought the No_Signal theme with a costom flupH font on them. Also, the bought Rainbow_Butterfly_Menu and the Sunset_Welcome_screen that Enzo was nice enough the add me a nice custon fluph font to the bottom of the scroller and the theme

for free. I'm very happy with them all, and very glad I even had the opportunity to buy them, Form a very talented artist.

My 2 cents: Enzo (zO) has been a super productive and prolific artist since
the late 90s and has produced an insane amount of great stuff, changing
styles a lot over the years but always doing (imho) really awesome work. He's responsible for being involved in starting up a lot of different projects and is one of the (if not THE) primary person behind Blocktronics. He has done and continues to do a lot to keep ANSI alive. He's also a great guy, one of the only people who consistently gives me feedback on my (very rare) ANSI submissions to B7, not because he needs to, he's just being supportive. He's the real deal, *definitely* not someone you should feel wary about sending
your money to from my experience.

Luciano Ayres is Enzo. Formerly of iCE for many years, and other projects like 27inch, Vii, and Vii2 as well as helping me out in (omg I forgot my own group name cuz it lasted only a pack or two) The Labz (1465, had to look it up. lol).
Now he's one of the founders of Blocktronics (blocktronics.org). They've gone to retro competitions and taken first place easily, they've promoted the artform to Facebook and any other medium, etc. It is, the ONLY ansi group to get fanbase outside of BBSing.

While most of them only do ansi for the love of it (ie: NOT for a BBS, but to take their skill to a whole new level), every now and again you can get a request filled by a great ansi artist. It's not like the old days where you could go anywhere and pay 5$ for an ansi. Now they'll do it if they want to, and usually it's free. They're all great guys... I used to draw with them in Pablodraw multiplayer mode (if you will). ALL of them, amazing. I stopped drawing when the kids were old enough to recognize me. And now they're old enough for sports and whatnot (hell, I'm even an assistant coach for my son in baseball), I just don't have the time to draw any more. I wish I did..

    Regards,
    Nick

I can definitely agree with this statment/paragraph. Luciano is one of the most
kind hearted people I've ever met in the ANSI scene. Hell, I've talked to him about real life stuff too. He is super generous and just a great guy in general.

I want to jump in here and +1 all of this. Luciano is a great guy, a VERY talented artist, and is a huge driving force behind keeping ANSI alive. He's been a major inspiration for myself and has gotten me back into ANSI as well...
when compared to his skills I'm horrid however :)

Yep, Enzo's been really cool just about everytime I've contacted him. Just got some screens for a Enigma1/2 board I'm putting up soon. :)
