• UPgrade to 1.12 A29 Mass file upload

    From Vorlon@46:3/101 to g00r00 on Mon Jul 18 18:24:52 2016

    Hello g00r00!

I have just done a update to the latest A29 from 1.11, and on doing a mass upload get these error's.
If I move the directory's containg the files out (There are *lots*) then the mass upload finishes.

I did replace the arvhive.dat file as instructed, and had a look at the new settings. They look like what
I was using from the 1.11 version.

I did replace the arvhive.dat file as instructed, and had a look at the new settings. They look like what

Did you run the file base packer in MUTIL so the indexes could be generated? If you miss that step it'll cause big problems. Did you use the 1.11 to A27 steps? Hopefully that wasn't something I forgot.

Also, glad to see you upgrading! 1.12 wants to make 1.10 feel bad about how little was improved during its time. :)

Yes followed all the instructions you have at the end of the upgrade.txt file. I have also deleted the data file so it get's re-created and then ran the mass upload. The same issues
    happens.

If I remove all the files from that base (They are Amiga files) and then run the mass upload it
compleates without issue. Of course it finds no files to upload #-(

done. You'll need to re-name the file back into a .zip though, and it contains a small selection files.

Can send more if it's needed.

Thanks. I've been pretty sick and not working on things the past couple of days, but next time I do I'll try to get a look at it

Hey just in case you didn't see: I did manage to fix the LHA files you sent. Mystic wasn't handling the directories in a level 1 LHA file correctly.

I've compiled a medium sized collection of various level 0, 1, and 2, LHA formats and all of them seem to view properly in the ANSI archive browser, and they should no longer cause a problem in mass upload starting in A30.

Thanks for the report and for sending the files along!

I have now found another issue, and that is not being able to view a text file from within lha
    archives.

The viewer can view the content of the archive, but not a txt file.

I get unformated blead though (best way to describe it) what is already on the file viewer window.

It either prints "Lha" starting from the edge of the right border, and flowing down to the next
line OR it prints: "Lha: Fatal error: -w=/opt/mystic/temp1/: No such file or directory"

Thihs over writes the ansi line that goes across the screen above the menu options to
    seach/escape/download/view

I can list the temp1 directory and see that mystic has a copy of the file in there.

    My archive options are:

    Pack: lha ao5f -w=%3 %1 %2
    UNpack: lha e -w=%3 %1 %2
    View: lha l -w=%3 %1

I gatherd it was getting stuck with them, as the first file I looke at containd a directory.

    worked.

Yeah, it was a specific format of LHA (there are 3 of them) and I probably just overlooked testing Level 1 versions with directories. The other two formats appeared to work just fine.

    Awesome thanks again for reporting!

    file or directory"

Can you post what it shows in the logs? It should show the entire command
line that is sent to LHA in the node's log file.

I'm sure there are a million LHA versions in Unix so it might just be that
the command lines need adjusting. In Linux if you want to get rid of the output you need to redirect it to nul.

Have tried with with the working directory and without in mystic. Have also done the same commands on the
command line and get the same error.

lha e w=/opt/mystic/temp1/ /opt/mystic/files/68k.aminet.net/docs/misc/CBrosGuideV1.0.lha CB-Votesheet.txt LHa: Fatal error: w=/opt/mystic/temp1/: No such file or directory

    if I run: lha e /opt/mystic/files/68k.aminet.net/docs/misc/CBrosGuideV1.0.lha CB-Votesheet.txt

the file get's extracted when using the command line. within mystic though the file cant be read.
