for some reason it too has crashed a few times, two times this morning
and apparently sometime quite fast after i upgraded from 1.11 to the current alpha. nothing of value in the logs that'd explain the crash.
I've had nothing but problems on any version past A33 or so. I install
the new ones, they crash, so I roll back to the last working version. I can't isolate what's causing the issue, because as you mentioned, there
is nothing of note in the logs!
Hopefully it gets worked out before long.
i dont know if i should be using mis2 or not but it seems like its the only way the telnet server stays up. with mis it just dies without
errors. downside is that
- events dont seem to run anymore
- country code based banlist doesnt work (i get hammered by telnet scans)

Yep, you can do almost everything with MIS2 now, and just use MIS for running the events. I run both over here for that very reason. I run telnet and ssh on MIS2 and the bink server on MIS. I can't recall why I did it that way, but there was some issue that forced me to use MIS for bink.
