• New BBS Hardware!

From poindexter FORTRAN@46:1/115 to All on Tue Sep 20 10:55:00 2022
I picked up a used Dell desktop, an optiplex 3050. i5-6500, 4GB of RAM, 128
    GB SSD. $75!

I'm going to use 32GB of RAM scavenged from my old system and see if I can transplant my 1TB SSD (currently running Proxmox on an old laptop).

This is going to host the BBS in a VM, a reverse proxy, and a couple of homelab apps running in containers.

I'll gain 2 more cores, 12 GB of RAM, and a faster SATA controller in the process, as well as being able to add a second drive for additional storage.

    That's a pretty good deal.
