This change has removed all of the ansi speed choices over here above 57600
- 115800 - 128000.. etc. Before, my Art Gallery used ~path\ansi\;99;display
and the scroll was smooth and pleasing to view. Full speed = way to fast.
(this new) 99 = 57600 way to slow. Anyway, 01 - 99 are worthless speeds.
Making the speed controls worthless on the board and in the art gallery.
Could you either change it back or add back all of the faster speeds? If
others have a problem with this also, lets discuss it and figure out a

By removing the CAP bottleneck that is now in place it would return to real world telnet board speeds. This real baud emulator might be real for 20 years ago. But I prefer to stay in 2015 and not need to change every single ansi here that contains a |DIxx code. Just because you wanted a REAL baud emulator that ever existed peice of worthless shit. What exactly are you asking to vote on? Are you asking to have better
emulation wihtout feature lose? Then I vote to keep the higher buad speeds if it doesn't effect emulation. however, I need to consider that you have to
edit a lot of ansis, to achive something you did not want. I could probably
use sed and awk to help speed up the process uf updating your |DI command. On the other hand I hate lossing features, the modem support because it made a nice piece of software that much better. If possible please keep the higher speeds because i also have lots of ansis.

Ah! That's what caused the hang! I had an issue during logon that my
session would hang and I had to hang up. I display a login screen during login, and some have the DI mci code in them. They are set to DI40. I'm guessing now that that was the issue.

Honestly, I would not have thought of that as the cause of the hang. I have
so many stacked menu option in my prologin menu that I would not have thought of that as the cause of the hang.

in the whatsnew.txt (full speed). You took away the option to access the DI speeds used in A60. Then replaced them with your new speed bumps and expect anyone to be happy and love the new neighborhood.

There nothing wrong with my attention. A61 did change the DI speed, that is
the truth. I did expect to see the changes after I upgraded, because I read

There is hardly ANY noticable difference between DI99 in A62 and A60, except that the A62 is much smoother. You can try to pretend all you want that you didn't make a HUGE deal over a bug, and that your approach is somehow justified, but its not.

DI is fine. It works MUCH better than it did and if you used it in any type of creative way outside of DI99 at the top of your login ANSI, you would see
that.

Ask any of the Linux people who didn't even throw a fit when DI *crashed* their system in A61 what they think now that they can use it. I bet every one of them will tell you that its not this epic unusable "worthless" system that you speak of.

You are creating a problem that doesn't even exist...

Its ridiculous that I even have to waste my time on this bullshit considering how much time and effort and talent I donate (for free) to this fucking BBS scene...

Been a straight-through subscriber since March of '05, but Cata and MoP
just kicked my ass. They were just so *blah*. Cata looked like shit and had dick for content, although I loved the level 1-60 quest revamp. MoP looked really nice, but all the dailies gating and uninspired raids sucked what remaining life I had left in me for the game. Haven't played in about 8
months, which is a long time for me. =)

I might actually buy this expansion and play again if you're playing, maybe dick around on whatever server you're on. Mask and g00, kickin' ass in WoW!

I'd LOVE use some of the artpack files on my system with attribution. I'm frustrated in that there was one image I was really keen on, I went the extra miles to find the author of the image and tried 2-3 ways to contact him via Facebook etc. to ask his permission to use and there was never any reply.

I'm not using it on the BBS but wish I could.

The way I see it is, displaying stuff on your BBS of others' works should technically be fine as long as you don't alter the original piece and try to "make it your own".

I figure most people would be fine with that, unless they explicitly state "don't use mah shit on your BBS", and then I wouldn't. Like knocturnal, for example. I heard he doesn't like it, so anything of his I wouldn't think
about. Been trying to get a hold of him to ask if it'd be okay though, since
he was my co back in the day. =) I really like his work, always have.

goat balls. And I've recently come to realize that ASCII lettering for BBS menus still look fairly... plain. So I wrote a login ANSI randomizer for the TG board I'm setting up with a bunch of really kickass stuff from Blocktronics. Lot of enzo stuff I put up as well, I saw after. A lot of knockturnal stuff I wanted to throw on there, but like I said, not gonna unless I can get his permission.

Aaaaaanyway, the point is I'm gonna test it out with the TG board and see
what user reactions are. If it's mostly positive, then I'll probably toss a bunch of really excellent ones on this one. But yeah, I really wish I could coerce someone to do a few for this one. It'd be pretty sweet.

wish I could coerce someone to do a few for this one. It'd be pretty sweet.

I'm fairly certain that if the ansi has been orphaned, who would it be that would come up and bitch-slap you? And if the artist does take a notice of
you, then you will have finally gotten his attention, and might actually have
a discussion about it.

I've played with figlet a bunch and that is where I get many of my generic ascii lettering. There's well over 100 fonts in there. Admittedly, 80% are garbage, but maybe you'll find something you'll like.

To be completely honest, "time is up" when they damn well say it is dude. They all could be off doing digital art for big companies (yeah, they have the skill).. so if they delay the pack for any amount of time, but still release something? I'm happy they still do it.
