    Looks like the net reseted again. Someone brought to my attention about modem code and how its a bit of a pain to put in the main bbs source code. Or at least that what i got from the orginal echomail.

    I agree, moving forward into the future the modem code should act like a server. It should call the bbs exe file and allow the bbs to do the rest. Elecom is a good example and its programmed in pascal if you want to do the
    bbs code in the traditional sense. Otherwise sexpots is a pretty good command line, actually the only command line modem code the works.

    The server code, shouldn't have to use telnet for redirection however, so
    maybe a mix and elecom and sexpots will work out some modem server code.

    I'm busy reading up on CL compiler for dos, hopefully i'll be able to find
    late 1980 c books and et stuff.

    our generation has lost a lot of low level coding skills which is ashame. Im just getting the hang of things that people already knew in the 90s.
