There is a copy of AgoraNet Echolist #1 from 1994.

Has AgoraNet been in constant operation since then?

And does it have an official home page?

I have an intro page on my board talking about the network's history, and am trying to fill in some interesting details.

No not constant, and to be honest, I don't remember when it was first shut down. Captain Hood (Hawk) can probably fill you in on more of the details from back in the mid 90s, but Hawk and I (with Radman's blessing) resurrected it in 2012 in hopes to continue the ACiD name and keep artists in the BBS scene. Some stuck around for a bit, but most of them have moved on to Facebook.

So Agoranet, while still preserving the history of ACiD, has long since been more of a general discussion network. Unfortunately, in the past couple years it's been pretty quiet. We still get new members every month, but some disappear without notice at the same time.

In my experience, a lot of BBS sysops tend to join as many networks as they possibly can, just to carry them, and never actually join in and/or start any conversations.

    Regards,
    Nick

This. I think that's always been the case with some boards though.

I used to carry two or three but in the last couple of years I've started adding more and more myself as well though. Each seems to have at least one or two echoes that have traffic.
