I'm not sure how customizable it is

Most of these retro handhelds make it easy to add and remove ROMs to, even the ones that come pre-loaded with tons of them, I believe. Adding new emulators is a little harder, though, I think.

On this topic, has anyone fooled with or seen any details on these modular units: The Clockwork Gameshell?

If you haven't they seem pretty cool. Over at clockworkpi.com - they also make a killer Devkit PC thing...

Anyways, otherwise I've fooled with several emulators, but usually they've got shoddy screens or flimsy hardware... I'll check out these ones you guys threw out.

Favorite Retro Handheld is and was always the Atari Lynx tho -- I had one modded with the McWill and tons of games, but i gave it to a friend of mine for his 40th bday, but i still love that thing. May get another and mod it again one day!

In 2007 I bought a Korean made handheld console, the GamePark Holdings GP2X-F200. It is a pretty amazing little device that runs Linux. I spent hours playing Donkey Kong in MAME. I just put batteries in it for the first time in a couple of year, fired up MAME4All and I'm playing Donkey Kong again.

I haven't looked at this. I have one of those gameboy looking deals with a pi inside. It's ok...it has a super loud fan and it gets hot. So, I don't really use it much lol.

    This could be neat!

    That devkit thing looks neat!

I actually have one of these, which I've modded. I need to mess with it more. I got it working and then haven't touched it...lol. Poor neglected system. Any recommended games?
