Hi, all,

I'm having problems with BinkP and Crashmail. I'm not sure if this is the right base to be posting in or not. I'm pretty sure my crashmail.prefs file
is right. The problem appears to be that Crashmail cannot see the incoming packets. It totally ignores them. Could it be that BinkP and Crashmail don't work together?

Bleh. I answered my own question. The permissions needed to be "imp users" Thanks for your help.

It should be actually. Those files are owned by root but it looks like
everyone has r/w access to them, as long as crashmail can step into that directory.

Are you using Mystic's BINKP, or binkd? Before mystic had built-in tossers
and mailer, I used binkp and crashmail. It worked fine for me. I suspect
you have some sort of misconfiguration.

I still have my binkd.cfg and crasmail.config if you need it and think it
might help.

Are you using Mystic's BINKP, or binkd? Before mystic had built-in tossers and mailer, I used binkp and crashmail. It worked fine for me.

The problem is that it doesn't acknowledge _any_ area that's defined in crashmail.prefs. In this case, "STATS". I'm not sure what the hell is wrong with my config file. I've looked over it several dozen times, and absolutely cannot figure it out. :(

Here's the shell script I use to call Crashmail:

You've set up your AKA's as:

AKA 1:154/10.11
DOMAIN "FidoNet"

AKA 46:1/124.0
DOMAIN "AgoraNet"

AKA 46:1/100
DOMAIN "AgoraNet"

AKAs define YOUR BBS, not the BBSes you connect to. The AKA 46:1/100 is for Nick, not for you.


Then you have your NODE statements. These are for designating who it is you conect to. These should never be the same as your own AKAs.

You shouldn't be using a packet password with me. If you are, that's why crashmail is giving an error.
