Test message after removing all remnants of QWK configuration over here. Someone had mentioned dual origin lines showing up in messages not posted from here. The only thing I could think of was that I hadn't removed some of the QWK
settings as well as the one option to gate between those two net types.

    Hopefully that is fixed now.

Since most are using aliases here, I just updated this side to use my old alias
    from many years ago.

The only issue I'm trying to figure out at this point is why your netmails to me contain my node information and not yours. It seems there is no MSGID in your netmails to me, and since there is also no origin line, WWIVTOSS is defaulting to using my own node number so I can't reply.

I have seen this happen before and would like to get to the bottom of it.

    Thanks!

netmails generally do not have origin lines... they are an echomail thing... netmail address info comes from the (packed) message header (in the PKT) and possibly one or two control lines (eg: FMPT) to complete the header address info... MSGID is not required... if WWIVTOSS is having a problem, it is doing something wrong...

I have been doing some digging on this issue. It seems that Mystic uses the INTL kludge in netmails, which contains the sending system's node information.

I have made an update to WWIVTOSS that will hopefully catch the INTL kludge node information and then I can finally reply to Mystic generated netmails to me on the BBS.

Oddly enough, after I said something, they don't seem to appear in this one. Maybe they were spaces under your name to separate your sig from your tearline,
but over here they got translated to UTF-8 and ended up a couple block characters. I dunno. If you don't see them, then it's probably my own Golded setup here while trying to use UTF-8 when it isn't supported. :D

    I am!

here I get the same thing here. I think I am reading the wrong file, likely my answer is also in the reply you got in the husky area.. will have to look further.

That's because husky's EchoTossLogFile is not the same thing as Golded's JAMPATH. Two different formats, which was why hpt wasn't picking up any hint of
new messages and sending them off.

Doing it the way they told me in the husky area works like a charm for me, and it doesn't seem to be JAM specific so it may very well work the exact same way for you as well.

    Nick

If you noticed the origin line, those were regurgitated from 46:1/164. The dates on them seemed to have been spread a couple weeks apart on each one, but sent back out into the network from another node, who's system I believe was backed up for weeks. :(

Check the double origin line on his messages. They were duped by another system.

..and I'd noted in the PATH lines the system of origin but had not noticed the double origin lines nor joined the dots the oringial sender was from a different AGN node number.. doh.

If you noticed the origin line, those were regurgitated from 46:1/164.
The dates on them seemed to have been spread a couple weeks apart on
each one, but sent back out into the network from another node, who's system I believe was backed up for weeks. :(

The only thing I can think of, is that it's my recent revertment to Mystic
BBS. Iniquity was _very_ buggy. I'm glad i'm leaving it behind. An example is that whenever i'd send an e-mail to a user on my board, it would immediately send out a netmail. Annoying. Very annoying. Anyway, sorry for the confusion regarding my (test) posts.

What I was getting at, was that those specific posts referred to *weren't* from
you or your system, but someone elses. Granted, they were originally your posts, but they were long ago, and someone else's system duped them back into the network.

Yep. Had to disable one or the other, and I found that you actually CAN turn off something in Synchronet. So I should be okay now, besides the double TZUTC kludge. I can only turn off Golded+'s, but that's the RIGHT one (-0600). I'd like to turn off the one sbbsecho adds, or at least figure out why it's not displaying the proper offset.

It looks correct. But Iniquity doesn't seem to be doing anything about it. Whatever tosser you're using is not the problem. It's Iniquity itself.

No. Netmail and echomail are two completely different entities. It's your echomail that's messed up.

Actually, it is. It's just the IMP-MAIL tosser that's causing the problems. It's strange, but when I get incoming packets, I get Y2K-compliant dates. But when I send outgoing packets, the date isn't Y2K-compliant.
