Alright, I've shut this down too many times, because I don't want to run a 32bit windows server for 40 dollars. So this time, I'm just gonna host it on my sh*t laptop thats sitting around doing nothing. At this point, I'd be dammed if I found a reason to shut this thing down. It cost next to nothing to run it on this laptop, so I'm gonna leave it up until the damn laptop dies (at this point, i'd be suprised, it's lasted for 9 years). Anyways, enough rambling about how I can't dedicate my self for a project.Oh yea, and the uh web server doesnt work. Don't care about that though.
uberBBS - It keeps comming back! Like a zombie.
One of the first things I did here was install LORD, which is great and hillarious, a combination I've seen one other time with Portal 1 & 2, and LORD 2. I'll probably put more games on here sooner or later. Due to game port being inactive the key for my lord2 install is something I found in the mighty google (i'd rather not waste the 50 cents).
I'm open to suggestions for things*, as long as they are reasonable.
So here's the telnet IP: 184.176.90.184
The only thing I'm aware of that doesn't work is SMTP, which is blocked by my ISP. If anyone knows how to fix this, I'd be welcome (as long as it doesn't involve contacting my ISP).
*as long as your not Mro, if you are Mro, politely fuck off.

You could always do what I did, I bought a thin client PC with 160gig hard drive 2 gigs of RAM and windows 7 32 pro for $60 off ebay, it runs at between 12 to 18 watts.
in addition to running my BBS on it I also run 2 halo pc servers on it.
and you can mount it on the back of almost any monitor.

I've seen some tempting little systems. The ones I saw run Windows XP embedd and can boot DOS/Windows 3.1 for retro gaming.
I just picked up an HP desktop with a Core 2 Duo, 4 Gb RAM, 250 GB HD for $7 I've seen some tempting little systems. The ones I saw run Windows XP embedd and can boot DOS/Windows 3.1 for retro gaming.

I guess that your wife wants to kill you for spending that kind of money to power your toys each month.
i scaled it back a bit so i'm not using that much power now. we both have big fishtanks and that takes up a lot of juice too. i have a lot of my lights for my tanks on a timer and switching to vms for my bbses and using led lighting throughout the house helped a lot.
So you have fish tanks, I have begin to think that no one was in that hobby much any more.

At some point I plan on getting a new tank. I used to have fresh water,
but may try my hand at a salt water tank this time.
