• Corporate training material

From Arelor@VERT/PALANT to All on Tue May 18 17:06:16 2021
    Hi there,

I have been recently exposed to some training material some State sponsored corporation is using to instruct employees. It is an interactive program with videos, slideshows and questionaries and it is supposed to take 4 (!) hours to go through. Apparently they want every employee complete it.

I must say I am horrorified.

The first half is what can only be considered a brainwashing campaign. "We are a socially responsible corporation with these values, we expect you to defer your holidays if need be becase the needs of the corporate collective are more important than your own goals. We are all a big socially responsible family and we recycle and refuse bribes. You must follow out approved code of conduct when you are out of your work hours because what you do out of your work also represents the corporate identity of our family. If you know of any employee breaking our rules, fill a report to the Corporate Identity Compliance office."

You can't make this garbage up.

Corporate training has always been very bad around here but it looks like the trend is taking a nose dive. If this is widespread we are heading to a fatal state of cultural decay. It is already as bad as a cheap steampunk novel.

The second part was quite ok. It was entry material for personal data protection, which mostly consisted on training materials instructing people how to avoid scam mails and how to keep confidential data secured.

So, is this a joke or is this for real? Sounds like they outsourced
their training materials to a foreign company and the language
translation . . . well, lost something in the translation.

    What company is this?

That's insane. Can you bill the Corp for those 4 hours at
    $250/hr?

Whaaaat!?! Who is this company? I thought you worked alone?

That is ripe for abuse. Anyone can file a false claim if they
don't like you. Then you are stuck trying to defend yourself.

Look to leave your company. The SJWs have taken hold and it's only a matter of time before your company dies. Remember that the Left ruin everything they touch and they've touched your company.

All the more reason to be an individual consultant especially if this all
is for real! I stopped playing the role of a corporate monkey shortly after
the turn of the century and have been loving it since.

    No, it is no joke.

The training was outsourced, obviously, but the videos and slideshows had Spanish voice actors, so I bet the company that made the training material was Spanish too.

My paragraph above is a distiled version. The pseudo-training was not as much "in your face" but once you extract the underlying ideas, you get something like above.

The company is Ibermutua, a Social Security affiliated insurance and healthcare provider.

What employees seem to be doing is hiring kids to undergo their training for them, since it is done remotely. Sadly, you cannot just leave the videos running and go something else, since the training program requires contant input from the user, so you are glued to it until you finish it.

I work alone for some of my jobs :-P But I also work at a clinic, if you remember, and one of the doctors has a part time job in this other company which is forcing this pseudotraining upon people. So he showed me what the junk as about because he needed to share his missery.

Supposedly there is due process and a compliance comittee with investigators and everything, heh. Specially freaking because they called it "Comité de compliance" in Spanish, which is just as if I called it "Cumplimiento Agency" in English.

Good news are it is not my company. I just happened to be shown the materials.

Bad news is that the company is affiliated to State welfare programs so you can bet all this crap is not going to die off soon.
