Most of the equipment has probably been left disabled. Or,
without maintenance, the stuff isn't going to be useful for
    long.

Step 2: Declare need for more weapons and soldiers to fight your now well-armed enemy

The Americans probably took as much munitions as they could.
The Afghans don't have much to work with.

    Step 3: Profit

    From what?

yeah ok. you think the us government would leave the stuff disabled?

lets just wait for the taliban to run out of bullets and rockets. there's no way for them to get more!

The Americans probably took as much munitions as they could.
The Afghans don't have much to work with.

who's telling you this bullshit? justin? fucking people including children were left behind. people were airlifted last minute off of buildings.

    Step 3: Profit

    From what?

they are in a resource rich area. china is already getting involved.

Like the Iranian Airforce's F-14 Tomcats. Odd choice for a country without
    an aircraft carrier.

Not with 9.5 billion dollars from their national bank held at the Fed
    Reserve in NYC.

Absolutely. Do you seriously think the army is that stupid to
leave everything fully funtioning? Even some water in the fuel
tanks could work, cutting the brake lines, etc. All quick and
easy in a moment of evacuation.

Even if the equipment was still useable, it would be unusable
    pretty quick without maintenance.

That's why they had to leave the people behind - to make room
    for their own stuff! ;)

Resources is something quite plentiful in Afghanistan, indeed.

dude. they just left the stuff in working order and the taliban are using it. dont you see the recordings?

Considering it's in the handbook to destroy all weapons you cannot take
with you when leaving a position... seems that way.
