  • Nokia USB Modem

    Warning: make sure you have plenty of credit!!

    so, i found out nokia phones have secret modem functionality :)

    things you need:
    WinXP or later PC
    USB cable with your nokia's usb size on one end
    Nokia PC Suite

    step 1: install the Nokia PC Suite
    step 2: connect the USB cable to your nokia (make sure it's powered on first) and select "Nokia mode"
    step 3: find the nokia's COM port (it's in device manager pretty sure)
    step 4: open the COM port in a terminal and type "at"
    step 5: have fun dialing boards :) (there's like 15 of them now lol)

    P.S. i tried this on my 6300 and it works fine (it even sent RINGs when i called it lol)

    I used to use my Blackberry as a modem back in the early 2000s, before
    public wifi became a thing.
