Old school but fun to mess around with. I still have my 386 stored away and have been getting the itch to break it out....

I keep a 486 under my desk that has Win XP on it. I use it to run my old Willem EPROM burner.

Some applications for Windows XP SP3 not working even on Pentium III, because there's not SSE2 commands extension. :)

you sure you can run xp on that?
I'd think a 486 might be a bit slow to run Windows XP.. Windows XP came out in 2001, which is Pentium 2 era.

Well... It's been running at least since 2000 (and probably before that - that's just the oldest screenshot I have of it running.) It ran my old Atari BBS for many years. I retired it from the BBS around 2020.

what are the specs of this 486?
i'm pretty sure a 486 can't meet min requirements.

What I thought were 2 486's were actually 2 Pentium 4's
