The 12th annual W4DXCC DX and Contest Convention[1] is set for Friday and Saturday, September 23-24, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The an ARRL-approved operating specialty convention will feature a "Ham Radio Bootcamp[2]," which will cover the sorts of things every ham should know - kind of the Elmer you may not have had.
The presentation schedule[3] is replete with DX and contest fare, including presentations on the TX3X Chesterfield Island, K5P Palmyra Atoll, South Sandwich and South Georgia, and Heard Island DXpeditions.
Ward Silver, N0AX, will offer his contest operating tips and tricks.
