    Hey, all:

I was searching old DoveNet messages when someone alluded to a
    communications program named RipTel:

I use RipTel. Seems to work fairly well, native Telnet support,
ANSI/RIP capabilities, some hotkey/macro capabilities. It's not the
best terminal out there, but I've gotten used to it over the past few

What is it? Is it under active development?

It was a commerical RIP-capable Telnet client for Windows from Telegrafix. It's not under active development.
