    anything bigger than 24 inches is overkill now. I am so glad i got 24 not a 25 incher.

    I was surprised how big the 24 inch widescreens are copared to my 17 inch monitor.

    Square or wide-screen? This makes more difference than the actual size it self.... I've seen 30" "Wide Screen" LCD's that look smaller than 21" monitors.... They really need to change to a more useful way of measuring monitors!

    Are you saying you're more about length than girth? :)

    I know what you mean, though. I have a 19" CRT in the bedroom, and it
    doesn't seem like much of an upgrade unless I get something 32" or larger.
    Mind you this is me eyeballing them at the store, and me and proper spatial perception never seemed to find each other. Adding insult to injury is the fact that there is still a LOT of content in 4:3, or if it is widescren,
    it's not anamorphic. That gives the lousy choice of letterboxing on the
    left and right, stretched our crud, or worst of all, streched out
    letterboxed crud.

    In the end I guess I'll keep the CRT until it breaks. Of course, you never know: I might win the drawing for that 50" LCD at the grocery store. I
    don't think it's gonna happen, though.
