Does DOVEnet do FTN? I thought it was all QWK? I've never seen a nodelist.

Its all QWK, my system won't support QWK thats why I was hoping someone would be offering a ftn feed. I think someone with a VAVD bbs was getting a ftp feed from someone. Just need to find out who...

Umm, you could do like I do.... run a skeleton Synchronet BBS on a separate port from your other board and get the qwk there , and scan it back out to a fake net like I do. :)

Officially I don't believe that Rob wants an ftn feed for Dovenet.

I have no problem with FTN feeds for DOVE-Net. It's just not something that I'm going to personally provide.

O_o Thats funny cause I have a skeleton bbs already answering calls at my port 23 Synchronet is my telnet server. I had never thought to use that to get the qwk probibly becuase I would have no clue how to scan it back out to a fake net. Is there a way you could show me exactly how you have that setup?

ummm, ok I apparently was wrong then in this assumption. So , for example, if some other sysop not running Synchronet would like to carry DoveNet, and I can provide him that feed it would be all right with you?

Ummm, well first of all what kind of bbs software are you running and what are
you using for an ftn mail tosser? If you really don't want to go through the hassle , I could probably assign you a node number and feed it to you. Otherwise in your Network options for DoveNet mail, QWK Networked = Yes, Fidonet Echomail =Yes and add your fidonet address ( I use a fake address here and scan it out to my main BBS software to handle). I then find exactly what folder the outgoing mail is scanned to and have Irex pick up the mail from that
folder and toss it back into my Jam message base. :)

It sounds more complicated than it really is. :)
