True, and fair enough.. :) The English language is strange with its inconsistencies - The ch in "char" is pronounced like a "ch", but the ch in "character" is pronounced like the "h" isn't there. I suppose every language has its exceptions though..

haha.. I'm American - although being Canadian wouldn't be so bad, would it, eh? :)

I guess not. I just don't think I be able to get used to adding a U to everything (ie: colour). It's just not sane! :)

I don't care for your demeanour, neighbour. Your behaviour makes me see the colour red (which happens to be one of my favourites!)

Yes, I've heard all of the above pronunciations used at various times various people. I'll leave it to you to guess which I think are correc :-)
Feel free to post your own.

Was hoping to see cashe in there.

Oh yeah, some people do say "cache'" don't they? It's <CASH>! :-)

oh ok so not <cac-e> then. ;)
    or even <cash-ahe>

Next how do you correct someone when they are so set on saying it wrong?
Do you do it all intreuptive like " Dude did you just say kacshe? " Or do you take the more more blunt route and say " Uhh, no its <CASH>! "
or even the quiet suggestive way " oh wow this whole time I thought it was pronounced... "

Guess it really depends on who your talking to and how sure of yourself you are.

    A. I haven't heard anyone say "we-fee"..

No same here but if I ever do that calls for an automatic blunt correction.

    even ask on googoole

    A.
Blooth? That one doesn't even make sense to me.. hehe

It's a common short-hand in writing (e.g. Blueth or Blooth), but not usually verbalized that way.

Dunno but it has a pretty ugly emoticon that comes along with it.

    A. I haven't heard anyone say "we-fee"..

Visit a smart phone store or a best buy some time and listen to the sales and customers converse. It can be humorous/alarming what you hear.

Yeah, I've heard lots of humorous things at such places. :)

I end up getting really frustrated inside cell phone stores.
Pretty soon you hear the whole busy room and not just singling out one conversaion and it sounds to me like Phone blah blah blah phone blah phone phone blah blah phone your phone that phone this phone phone phone phone.

Plus there infomation is crap and there cell phones are attached to a short cable or fake all together. I see no point of even having a store.

I had a simple question once at the At&t store what droid has the newest version of software. I ended up with false information and was waiting way too long. I brought the correct info up with my smartphone while I waited with the help of google. Would hate to see what happens when a technical question was asked.

    hehe :)

That's no way to talk about your northern neighbours... eh?. B)
    ----------

British spelling aside, it's funny how we latch onto small things.
The 'overuse' of the word (?) "eh" is more a far north or eastern
Canadian affectation. Saying all Canadians use it would be like
saying all Americans end sentences with '..I'll tell you what.",
which I believe is common in Texas. Canadians from Ontario, the
most populous province, are said to speak almost exactly like
Americans from Ohio, with what we call having no regional accent
whatsoever - i.e.. the way most National news anchors speak..

The one that's always confused me is an insistance that Canadians
pronounce a word such as 'about' as if it were spelled 'a-boot'.
I've run into people from all over Canada, and some with quite
interesting regional dialects and accents, but I've never run
into that one.. Now maybe if the person were from Scotland... B)

Tagline possibly to the contrary I am Canadian from central
Ontario on the shores of Georgian Bay..

I think one of the funniest things I've heard a customer say is:

"My friend told me to start using that Monzo Foxfire because it's better than Internet Explorer".

I quickly correctly her and said, "Ahh, you mean MONDO Foxfire.."

Then of course, "My Microword Soft is not printing today for some reason"

Surprisingly I have indeed heard a couple customers say "I was at starbucks using their free Wee-Fee".

Probably the most incorrectly pronounced product would be Linksys. I've heard everything from Linkski's to Link-Psy, and Link-kiss

    Fun stuff.
