drive working is more noticeable. With the other case, I could barely hear hard drive. Is there any good way to reduce the hard drive noise?
Get an SSD :). I put one in my Macbook and it's completely silent with the exception of the fan that will come on from time to time.
If you need more storage space you may want to look at a new drive. Some of the "green" drives from Western Digital and others are supposed to be quiete than the more power hungry variants.

:) I thought about getting a new drive, but SSDs are still fairly small in size. My current hard drive is 1TB, and the largest SSD I've seeen is a lot smaller. I've also thought about putting a notebook hard drive in the PC, but
I feel like there should be a less expensive alternative, since I was using the
same drive in the other case.
