Hi. I'm a sysop from the long ago days. My board was The Long Road To Nowhere aka Innersphere in the Waterbury, Ct area code.

I'm trying to get my board back online via telnet (Useing rlFossil, the only thing i can find that works) and am stumped on getting FrontDoor running. The issus is not with emulated serial ports (Please, no flames, I'm running TAG) The issue is how to get Front door seperate from Rlfossil. Ive been able under windows 95via rlfossil to get 4 nodes basically working, however, frontdoor needs its own address (rlfossil is currently useing a seperate network card, seperate ip address on my network)

The best solution i can come up with is to create another packet driver interface and run rlfossil again (Rlfossil runs in dos and isnt a tsr so it loads whatever needs com ports) after win95 loads. It seems such a hassle to go throu, does anyone out there in bbs land have any advice? I'm kinda stuck on tag, because thats what i always ran, and i'm kinda stuck on haveing the machine self-contained (any bbs activity needs to run on just one machine)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have played with FD via windows and Net Serial... Does a virtual modem
and has a fossil driver... FD doesn't perform the best under windows and
    the net.

Just use InterNET REX for mail and your problem is solved...

Thanks! I'll check it out. But for now, I'm enjoying a bit of relief as i got my serial device server and i'm now online via my old comm program. If you'll pardon the expression, its damn good to be back!

I'll lookup internet rex, as per your suggestion, and hopefully soon i'll have my old board up running via this little wonder.

    Take care and happy bbs'ing!
