• Telemate 4.2x Registration

    From Mordor@VERT to All on Tue Dec 30 11:53:51 2014
    While trying to locate the distributors of Telemate:

    White River Software
    P.O.Box 73031
    Limeridge Mall Postal Outlet
    Hamilton, Ont. L9A 5H7
    Canada

    I have been unable to find any mention of them after 1994, 20 years ago.

    With this in mind, and since it seems impossible to now register Telemate. I have found out a few things regarding the registration code after a few tests of codes found on the 'Net.

    In the TM.CFG file, the first 3 lines WILL register Telemate 4.20 or higher:

    Version="4.11"
    RegNo="TM220000192"
    RegName="The"

    However, the word "The" can be changed to anything as long as you leave The in there. You can change it to "The Human Factor" or anything starting with The

    Just worked out also that "Batman" also works....

    I am not sure if this will actually breach any copyrights, but since the company does not seem to exist anymore, I see no concerns about posting this.

    Jeff in Brisbane, Australia.

    I do not need to, I have a paid copy. Also, Telemate for DOS is the version I use. nd DOS does not have a registry.

    The original topic was about Telemate v4.20 running in DosBox, not Telemate For Windows.

    Or did that change during the discussion?

    you are saying that your code does not work with telemate 4.2x, correct?

    i suggested using regit. regit is a well known program that cracks/patches/registers bbs software, bbs utilities and doorgames.

    i told you i used regit to register it and it worked. then i suggested that you use it.

    anyways it's on bbstorrents if you want it.

    Sorry to intrude in the conversation. What exactly is Regit? Any idea where I could find it?

    You know what, scratch that. I figured it out. I thought it was something you had a torrent of, but I spotted it in a file called BBSREG3.ZIP (among a bunch of other files I have run across before). Thanks!

    Thanks, I finally figured out what you were talking about. I had run across those files once or twice. Sometimes some were working ZIPs and some were not. But, you mentioning it got me Google searching and I managed to find a bunch
    of working ZIPs for the files that were all named like "BBSREGxx.zip".
