Have you guys tried ConnectBot for Android? If setup properly, it displays ANSI perfectly. I run it on my Nexus tablet so I can admin my board while I'm away. And it's free.
I've used ConnectBot, but it wasn't rendering ANSI correctly at the time. I'll have to look into it more to see how to get ANSI working properly with it.

Wow! New discoveries occur everyday in BBS land. Why somone would want to connect to a BBS with a cell phone is beyond me but to each his own I guess.

all android client have poor ansi support
When I am overseas, I sometimes connect to my BBS via the mobile data network. Usually on WIFI.. Still, some of us like to connect via phone ocassionally.

it's not the ansi support most of the time. it's the poor codepage support.

Out of curiousity... are you mainly wanting to access messages, or do you do anything like doors, or want to when you are remote on a phone? Been giving some thought on how to parse messages, specifically threading (> based) and line wrapping to present a better ui, mainly so phones are nicer... Just curious how usable it would be. Also, asuming you are a sysop, how importan is it to have your message bases accessible via google/bing?
Just to read messages. No, I do not do doors or anything really. My BBS at casper.homeip.net is basically only setup to get Dove-Net mail and has hardly any files, no doors except what came with Synchronet at install.
