Is there a way to get a stats report like what ABLOG does with taurus/argus?

I got ABLOG working with taurus now and would like to know if there is a program I can get to work with SBBSECHO. So I could get daily logs from that also.

    Thanks

Something would have to parse the sbbsecho.log file. People have reported an issue introduced with the new logged-date format in SBBSecho v3, so apparently there is some program or script that parses it, presumably, for statistics gathering/reporting. I don't know the name of this program or script. Perhaps there is more than one. But they might be version dependant (e.g. only work entirely correctly with SBBSecho v2.x).

I use a progeam called echolog:

    +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
FidoNet/FTN Echo Mail Bulletin Maker, Ver 1.5 Copyright 2006 Philip Brown +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

This program was written to read the sbbsecho.log file and create a bulletin showing monthly count of messages imported and exported.

Don't remember the archive name though. If I remember correctly, I found it on the vert file section. It's called echolg15.zip

    Thanks Steven,
I had forgot about that program being out there for use. I already have that setup here and in use. But thanks for reminding me about it as this old worn out mind forgets things easily as I keep getting older and older.

I'll have a look at what ABLOG does, see how hard SBBSECHO's log file
is to parse and maybe knock something up in Python if it's not too non-trivial...

Oh if this still works then I won't bother writing a new one :)

Iev started work on a combined log parser that will cover SBBS Echo log and Taurus (Argus) logs as well. Plus I've ben lookiing at the latest source code for tiny tic. May even pick up the source code for Taurus, if I can find it and do some polishing on it. Far to many of these programs have become abandonware.

You may want to check with Bjorn Felten in the Fidonet ARGUS echo. He'd been working on patching some of the Argus/Radius/Taurus code, but hasn't put his work up anywhere.
