Also, I use dynamic dns and have no way to do any MX redirect to another port or anything.
What would be the cheapest option to work around blocked in/out port 25?
It appears Comcast finally got around to shutting down inbound &
outbound port 25 in my area. (NJ) :(

While I can still send from using port 587, I cant receive email with
port 25 blocked.

Comcast Business account is definitely not. :)
Thanks!

Comcast here as well in Georgia. Hope they don't get this far!
Keep us posted as to your progress. I'm definitely interested!

One thing you could do is host your BBS off site. There are a number
of virtual private servers out there for under 10 dollars a month.
I wholeheartedly agree with the VPS suggestion. I host my board for about $30/year on a VPS. Synchronet will happily run on a 128MB VPS with DOSEmu, DOS doors and multiple concurrent nodes. I recommend www.lowendbox.com as a starting point.
Don't forget that a remote box makes a good SSH proxy for when you want to g out past your local network unmonitored. :)

And a good HTTP proxy, VPN server...
Just because your network admin cannot see the exact details of the trafic does not mean that he will not find it suspicious.
