Hey Deuce, You said that they are giving away chips. Is there any way you could get a hold of a micro chip for me.??
I think you was referring to me.... Microchip.com gives out sample chips.
PIC microprocessor chips... There's a few other companies who give out
sample chips, nothing to it, just fill out a form with your name and
address, the chip you want to sample (the problem is they only give out
certain chips as samples and each chip they give out in samples is produced
in various package formats, but they only release one format for samples.
The format you need may or may not be the format they release.... Eg.
They may tell you the chip your looking for has a sample chip available
but it might be that square surface mount type format that is a pain in the
ever lasting ass to use.... You might get lucky though and find a PLCC
format (I think that's what it is, you get used to remembering and looking
up format codes when you start ordering chips... Either way, the chips are
really cheap, between $1.25 and $3.50 on the average....Buy in bulk and save
money.
