I am a programmer student. And recently started te
to play around with multi-threading and socket networking in Java and it is awes ome!.
All you need on GNU/Linux is to have java and javac binaries and the
other erequ ired libraries and such.
To install just do sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jre (for the compiler) and sud o apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk.
I made a mistake there. JDK is for the compiler and jre is for the interpreter/v m.

I must say too many languages try be like C but they never cut it. Go for example. The f**k were they thinking. That's just my opinion.

I don't think it's that they are trying to be like C, but rather they're trying to evolve programming languages in general and trying to make something better. But what may be better seems to be a matter of opinion sometimes. Google seems to do things a bit differently as well.. Sometimes I wonder what they're thinking with things they do.

I haven't really looked into Go yet.
Any specific critiques?
