As for some kids seeing their hero fall and now try to pick himself back
up. That's what I see. A rich and famous person who didn't get away
with it, who couldn't buy their way out of trouble, and who couldn't
lie their way out of it. Personally, I think because of Vick, the
younger generation have learned some valuable lessons. Now let the guy
    get on with his life.

The ONLY lesson they'll learn is, you can engage in organized crime, participate in KILLING helpless animals, serve a NOMINAL sentence
and still make millions. Who really gives a shit if the stupid ass lost millions?? He squandered it HIMSELF. I have no symphathy.

Nominal sentence? Man, were do you live.. Outer mongolia? He got more
than double the sentence that is levied for that type of offense.

I'm not asking you to have sympathy. If it would have been some hick in Georgia tagged for the same thing, he would have served 6-8 months,
gotten off in 4-5 months for good behavior, and maybe actually served 2
months due to the 2-3 months he spent in jail waiting for his trial.
With 6 month of probation... maybe.

Lets be realistic here. He's served his time, he's paid his dues.
Since you don't know him and haven't met him personally, all you have to
go on is the media, and they of course are selling papers/news. So,
wether he's a changed person, you have "No" idea. I'd perfer to give
him a second chance. That way I don't look like an ass when he proves himself.

    Just my thoughts...

Don't you think it just boils down to old cliche of "I never thought i'd get caught" or "i thought that shit always happened to someone else"...?

It boils down to the fact that he thought he was above the law because of his so-called celebrity status.

That, or he thought that because he made so many millions a year he could
afford to bail his self out of jail and pay any fines to get out of jail
even if he did get caught....

    A man of great wrath will suffer punishment;
For if you rescue him, you will have to do it again.

Listen to counsel and receive instruction.
That you may be wise in your latter days.

That was proverbs c19 v19-20 which i thought was fitting in this case.

    HEY!
    Newspapers serve MANY valuable purposes.
    (1) Lining a birdcage.
    (2) Serving Fish and Chips in.
    (3) Emergency toilet paper.
    (4) Washing windows.

Maybe...just maybe...reading the obituaries on a slow day.

Investigative journalism has gone by the wayside long ago so their editorials are all nuetered.

As for the writers still actually on the payrolls, they have that remarkable knack of slanting everything left. It's that or find a different job.

As for your comment on "Emergency Toilet Paper", all i can honestly say is OUCH!....

Then again, you always were a hard-ass Ralph. ;-)
