I can't remember the last time I played any board game. It
would be at least 21 years ago.
The reviews for TtA are excellent. Apparently there is pc/app
version of it too.
It is hard to trust reviews these days in my opinion. They
are either biased or bought...
I suppose that is weird comming from me, since I am posting
as many reviews in here :-) In the end of the day I think
the best reviews are the ones that tell you what the
product *is* rather than how good it scores, because it
allows people to figure out it if fits them or not.
I have seen some videos of the Android version and it looks
pretty. I prefer playing with family myself.
Speaking of which, TtA is the sort of game in which your
relatives will end up crying when your napoleonic army
steals the three Bronzes they needed to complete some vital
building that turn. It is not a game to play with sore
losers.

<snip snap>
Thanks for that! I play several hobby board games, but never tried this one...
... And we had to chisel taglines into the walls of the cave...

Don't forget to try it!
Actually I had a game on Sunday and it didn't end very well. Whatever
you do, try to ensure you don't play with cheating bastards.

That's a standing rule. I also don't play with people that don't want to have fun. :-)

Easier said than done for some people.
I think it is a common problem in some groups that a member will bring
his girlfriend or whoever to the game session, and the newcomer will
screw the flow or ruin the game otherwise, and there is not much you
can do without getting the member angry.

Couple of things - first, yeah, that's a hard one sometimes. :-( We are planning a 'game night' at church and I'm hoping it doesn't turn into
a mess. LOL - I know some of them like Rook, so I'm bringing a couple of decks, but I'm also bringing Ticket to Ride, Betrayal at House on the Hill, and (one of my favorites) Codenames! Wish me luck! :-)
Second - since I last posted on here, I've been doing more and more coding for Divine Right on VASSAL... Man, that's a rabbit hole for sure!
... Multitasking: screw up several things at once!

Ticket to Ride is a good one for starters. People picks it up quite
fast, and usually don't get angry at backstabbings :-)
