    No, I've never seen that error reported before. Would be curious how one could reproduce that error.

    Just starting up sbbs and the error repeats non-stop. I've rebooted with no luck. I have the bbs off for now.

    That was it. Just ran a `chown -R sbbs:sbbs sbbs` and all is working now. I must have run something as root. Rookie mistake.

    you should also try using vert.synchro.net for support instead of google groups.

    you can reply on the bbs, web or nntp reader.

    The error is in the web server, so you can either disable the web server or compare all your settings in the [web] section of the ctrl/sbbs.ini file against the stock sbbs.ini and see what you have different:
