  • Securing FTP

    ¡Hola All!


    Since the FTP daemon in BBBS doesn't implements securization (SSL/TLS), are you using some third party software to secure your FTP access?

    I've took a look on stunnel[1] but FTP is out of its scope. I've been looking other third party solutions like ftp proxies but I have no clear focus on that. I will keep searching...

    In the meantime, some of you have some suggestions, magic recipes, working solutions...

    [1] It works fine for me in order to publish securized JamNNTPd.

    I just use FTP so folks can easily grab any files they want.

    There are no "secure" files on the BBS, so a public access is good for that purpose.

    My point was to secure the login step since the password used is the same for the rest of BBBS services (fidomail, webmail, bbs...).

    I will keep searching, and I let you know if I found something useful.
