I came upon this recipe whilst lookin for something else and tought
of you and your other half and your dietary restrictionsd ....
Always nice. Thanks for thinking of us Dave!
of course, have chunks of chicken meat in it since I am an omnivore.
I would too. I would just (for the most part) give most of the chicken
to Andrea other then a small taste. I love meat, it just doesn't love
me.
Title: Gluten-Free Matzo Ball Soup w/Chicken Broth
Saved. I will report back when the weather is cooler how it turns out. It's still hot enough here I'm BBQing and not using the oven.
It should be most excellent. It kept noodging at the back of my mind so
I made something very similar last night using store bough (non-GF)
gnocchi and leftovrer rotisserie clucker. Worked great in my baby crock
pot - Dennis and I each had two bowls and Jasper (the biggest dog) licked
the crockpot clean.

Title: Dirty Dave's Chicken Gnocci Soup
Categories: Five, Pasta, Poultry, Vegetables, Herbs
Yield: 4 servings
1/2 lb Chicken bits from rotissiere
- chicken carcass
1/2 lb (half bag) frozen mixed veg
2 tb GFS (Minor's) Chicken Base
1 tb White miso paste
Pre-made potato gnocchi (1/2
- bag or so)
Water
Get out your crockpot and fill it half full of water.
Set the temperature control to high. Add the chicken
base and miso paste and stir until dissolved.
Add the chicken bits and vegetables, stirring to mix.
Add hot water to bring level to about an inch from the
top of the pot. Cover and let it cook for an hour.
Remove the cover and add the gnocci.
If you like pepper - get out the pepper mill and grind
away until your wrists get tired or you think you have
enough. You won't need added salt as the chicken base
and miso are plenty salty.
Soup is ready when the gnocci are done.
