This is on a volunteer basis. Never mind they are making like time and a half those days.

There is some (state workers) rule they can't be forced (scheduled) to work those days. But to make sure someone is there, if only for a little while, such as the housekeepers, time and half is an incentive.
That's true...but then they take out more in taxes.

You're always so good about pointing people in the right direction.
I think of the country-western song "Why don't you mind your own
business, so you won't be mindin' mine??". Too many people would
rather tell you what to do, than keep their own house in order.
Some of us are so busy telling others what to do we don't have the
time to take care of our own house. :)
I mean, there are only so many hours in a day...
I'm good at helping run other peoples lives. :)
