• golded problem

From ALAN@1:135/392 to ALL on Sun Mar 27 15:46:00 2022
    Hi there!

I am having a problem with OpenXP.

I don't know how to get Golded to work, I set it up in the editor
section and ensure it takes by running through the rest of the dialog.

Tried using the path to it in defining the editor

    ie: c:\Golded3\gedwin.exe.

    Nothing.

    Can't find my manual anywhere.

    In essence.

    Help!

    Cheers,

    Alan

I think you have to add the correct parameters that golded.exe
    expects that represents the "message".

If you go to Config/External/Editor.. and then press F1, you
will see this as the HELP for the first field:

    ╔════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗
    ║ ║
║ OpenXP does have its own built in editor which ║
║ should do all you need. But if you really cannot part ║
║ from your beloved old editor, then you can enter it ║
║ here (incl. extension .COM or .EXE) ║
    ║ ║
║ The macro $FILE may be entered for the name of ║
║ the file to be edited. Otherwise XP passes the file ║
║ name as the only parameter to the editor. ║
    ║ ║
║ Linking in other tools ║
║ If you use the internal editor but wish to call a ║
║ programme *after* it, perhaps a text formatter or a ║
║ signature generator, then you can also enter it here, ║
║ but put a * in front of its name. ║

    HTH!
