    How do I use Winpoint to download files, or do I just do it with messages?

    Steep learning curve here.

    I am exploring Winpoint and OpenXP.

    Hoping I can get Winpoint to do it all.

    I am exploring Winpoint and OpenXP.

    Hoping I can get Winpoint to do it all.

    My mailer supports file request on the EMSI/Telnet port, 2030 in my case.

    I am not sure if WinPoint or OpenXP support an EMSI session over telnet, I think WinPoint does.

    Mailers configured to do so support file requests on binkp but mine does not.

    Feel free to request files here on my BBS if you would like to try it.

    My EMSI/telnet mailer accepts connections at trmb.ca on port 2030. That's a non standard port so you will need to make your mailer aware of that.

    It's pretty straighforward with OpenXP.

    From an existing boss node it's: Fido/Request, and pick the
    boss node you want to request from.

    From any other nodelisted system, just lookup the node via Fido/Nodelist/Search, then when you select a specific node, you
    will have the option to initiate a File Request.

    Found it? There are numerous ways ... Basically, use the inbuilt file request editor or directly request from the annoucement messages.
