  • Blatant corruption, or is this suddenly something else?

    There are moments when you have to pause and wonder if you’ve read the news correctly.

    For years, the Trump family maintained that Russia and Russian interference in American politics posed a major threat. The alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US election was, for years, one of the biggest political scandals in Washington.

    Trump himself always vehemently rejected any suggestion that he or his family had any connection to Russian interference.

    But now, look at what is happening within his own family.

    Donald Trump Jr. got married in the Bahamas this year. It was a lavish celebration, spread across several days and private islands.

    And who paid for a significant portion of that celebration?

    A Russian with very close ties to Vladimir Putin.

    His name is Umar Kremlev.

    According to an investigation by ProPublica, Kremlev covered hundreds of thousands of dollars in expenses—including the rental of a private island and a fireworks display. His organization also assisted in planning the event. The payments were routed through an organization in Dubai linked to the International Boxing Association.

    Kremlev is no random Russian businessman who just happened to be wandering around the Bahamas.
