Janis has rejoined us ...
She wants to become a Z2-sysop ...

Just a sysop? Or is she moving to Europe? ;-)

Hello Ward!
She's very welcome here in switzerland.
Let's hope our ZC :) approves her residence outside of the country.
Does this mean that a certain Cajun could become nodelisted in Sweden if he applied/fulfilled the technical criteria?

I don't know about sweden, but here in switzerland, we're open to interested persons. And: I'm only writing about Janis here, not other persons.
As we all get our echos from all over the place, the original concept
of "regions" is a bit bogus anyway. However, we still have it and the current rules have to be respected. With our ZC having the say in who
we connect, it's up to him to decide.
Janis helped me in the past, and i'm more than glad to return that
favour to her.
Plus that if you allow sysops to move to another net, region or zone
for political reasons, you bring real life politics into Fidonet. That would open up an ever bigger can of worms. How about moving the
"Russion" sysops in Crimea to R50?

Real life politics arrived already, see ENET.SYSOP. :-(
I don't intend to open a can of worms.
Better ask Ward what he knows about Janis' plan to move to Z2. HE
wrote thta, not me.

I do not think one man should make such a far reaching decision for all
of Fidonet.

Wrote her, but no answer to either NetMail or e-mail.
Marc,
Wrote her, but no answer to either NetMail or e-mail.
I wrote her too and she replied ... indicating she wanted to stay
low key ...
When I notice out-of-zone entries, they are removed faster than someone can say "een pintje alstublieft".[..]

He has been welcome to nodelist in Z1. Nick Andre has reached out to him before. The "Cajun" always has an excuse as to why he cannot.
