Hey Exodus... I just installed in a DOSBOX instance to checkout the new 1.22. I feel some things that are new, to me anyway... but probably not what 1.22 just did. The quote's are new... I swear I used to be able to use |codes and all 15 colors, but... do remember the ^codes. :P

I *loved* RG back in the day, and MIGHT want to play around with an RGBBS. I'm sure plenty of the old mods will still work... and I still love the non-full screen message reading of an RGBBS. :P

Playing around with it, however... do YOU run a BBS on this software, or any RG software?

I have been to the RENEGADE website, but is there any decent info relevant to telnet usage in the current times? I haven't dabbled in RG since 1995. 10-05? Anyway, any hints would be appreciated and... thanks for this release. I also didn't see a WHATSNEW or... just asking for any info you think would be worth checking into as I play with the software. I'm sure I'll have to learn how to connect to telnet... but its worth it>>> RG is the JAM!

I didn't make one. I mainly did this release to make a full install and upgrade edition because people can't follow directions when updating. I added the split scren chat updat e that sk-5 finished from the Github site. Also
did some minor code changes/fixes internally. Other than that, nothing really.

The install goes smoothly, even in a simple DOSBox setup - not so much docuemntation, nor info out in the world I can find. BUT, the system FEELS like like it did running an RGBBS in 1993!

Gosh, I remember having the docs all printed out and it was like my bible back then. :P

Another great thing; I think MUCH of the mods and releases that are available if you search the internet archives and other spots on the web... will work, even with this 1.22 release. I'm seriously thinking about spinning up a telnet facing instance... and many other sysOps are doing the same. :P I'm kinda PUMPED over a RENEGADEBBS in 2020.
