    Web servers in general can be a fun rabbit hole to fall down. One minute you're installing Apache and/or nginx & playing around with basic HTML the next minute you're pulling your hair our trying to figure out SSL/TLS certificates and then suddenly you find yourself spending $20 for a PHP
    course on Udemy.

    The trick is to get someone to pay for the trip down the rabbit hole. I'm an old-school apache guy, but had the opportunity to learn nginx and certs at work.
