• Telnet Client for ANSI

From bobandted@21:1/111 to All on Tue Jul 30 22:25:46 2019
    Hi,

I was wondering what windows telnet client you guys are using that supports ANSI graphics. I've been using MobaXterm, which is pretty good and even supports zmodem for downloads, but it does not render ANSI graphics correctly. I would like to see those ANSI graphics in their full glory :-)

    Cheers,
    Steve

ANSI graphics correctly. I would like to see those ANSI graphics in

Syncterm seems to do it all.

Download "Syncterm" for Windows or "Qodem". Syncterm is the Term most used Terminal program in my opinion. Google it. It will pop right up.

I use Syncterm on a linux box. I presume that it works just as well on a Windows machine.

    Guys,

Thanks a lot. I took at look at syncterm and that does the job nicely. Just what I was looking for.

    Cheers,
    Steve.

Late to this party but Netrunner or SyncTerm are both very good

At home or on the laptop I'll use either Netrunner or just windows Telnet. At work to pop in and check on things I use putty. All of them seem to pick up
the ANSI pretty good for the most part. Sometimes I'll get a bit of garbage
    on the screen.

Any terminal does if you pick a font and a codepage that support it. I
could never get Putty to work with my BBS, but using the terminal font
and code page CP437 work like a charm.

    No Zmodem transfers, though.

That did the job nicely. I just used the Terminal Font and CP437 and My BBS renders just fine now in MobaXterm. Thanks a lot.
