Howdy,

I've just push out another update to clrghouz.

This last week or two, I've been cleaning up my comms routines and logging with the aim to be able to better find issues.

BINKP has a lot of configuration options, CRYPT, compression, NR mode, ND mode, etc - which various mailers advertise they support, so there is a chance I've broken one of those modes while fixing/tuning another.

I added CRYPT support my BINKP session and started on compression - although I'll leave compression disabled for now. There are a few more things I want to add to make it more robust - and it seems to be a little tricky. (I was hoping to offer compression, since clrghouz provides uncompressed mail bundles. I'm not sure how many mailers support compression either...

I've noticed that clrghouz has a backlog of bundles that failed to process for various reasons - so I'm going to try and and work through those over the next week or two. It shouldnt generate any dupe messages, but if you are feeding from clrghouz and you are not in the seenby, you may get an old message :)

Yeah, its unusual with 1/179. Your sending me packet 05413a95.pkt 361 bytes, which I receive and reply with a confirmation - but your system keeps sending it to me.

What I cannot confirm, is that you receive the reply because around that time, I get a an error because the connection has been closed.

Leave that message in the queue, and I'll enable some more debugging to see if I can figure out what is going on. If you can turn up your logging and sending me a copy that might be helpful as well.

It looks like a synchronisation issue - and I'm guessing because my side is in "Non reliable mode", but the Mystic isnt. I cant see any options agreed during the handshake setup, so I shouldnt be in that mode (something I need to fix if it is).

Does Mystic have "NR mode"? If you turn that on, does the transfer work OK?

OK, it isnt an NR mode issue, per se - I think my side is sending a "GET" when it shouldnt (unless in NR mode). I've just pushed an update to stop that, lets see if that helps...

Still seems to be an issue. I just sent another test in FSX_TST and had it send to both 3/100 and 3/2744.

When sending to 3/100 I received a "GOT 05887e72.pkt" once your side received it. When sending to Clearing Houz I'm not getting back anything now.

I noticed yesterday I was getting a "GET <packetname>" and not "GOT <packetname>" from Clearing Houz, could that be something?

Still seems to be an issue. I just sent another test in FSX_TST and had it send to both 3/100 and 3/2744.

Yes, I've been looking at the logs, and it is - and I must admit, I'm a bit stumped at the momoment. hpt/binkd (hub 3) is sending mail to clearing houz without any issues - but it does do a different handshake, so I've clearly got something messed up somewhere.

When sending to 3/100 I received a "GOT 05887e72.pkt" once your side received it. When sending to Clearing Houz I'm not getting back anything now.

It seems I'm waiting on a response from your side (because I've sent the GOT), (and you mine), and that GOT is not getting to you.

I noticed yesterday I was getting a "GET <packetname>" and not "GOT <packetname>" from Clearing Houz, could that be something?

Yes but no :)

The "non reliable" mode I was talking about, means after you send me a "FILE" (I have a file for you), I send a "GET" to confirm that I want it, (and then finally I send a "GOT" to confirm I received it).

When "non reliable" mode is not use, you send a "FILE", followed immediately by the file, without waitng for that GET. My update stopped sending it to you (it shouldnt have been getting it) - but that hasnt fixed this problem.

I'll put in some more code to to debug that packet transfer between us, and that hopefully will help me understand why you arent getting the GOT...

I was actually sending you the GOT that I received your file, but that was after I was also sending an extra EOB (End of batch) - ie: I have no more files for you. I'm thinking that extra EOB was messing things up.

Could you send another packet, hopefully that was it and I havent messed anythign else up...

I dont think Mystic supports multibatch, but I saw another problem where I created the reply to the test, but your system disconnected after successfully sending the packet.

I'll work on that (related to something else that I wanted to improve), so that you dont miss messages...

Yeah, I only see the reply back from the "Hub Robot" at 3/100, not from Clearing Houz.
