    Hi guys

    I have hatched out the updated Galactic Dynasty files for Linux and Windows tonight (my time), this is version 1.3.1

    If you are active in the fsxNet inter-bbs league for this game can you please update your system to this version.

    A reset is not required (correct me if I am wrong Andrew) but do check your game ID is set correctly to 101

    We have four nodes (on auto??) running either a Game ID of 97 or 100

    There's also a couple of nodes that are seemingly inactive and may be removed soon.

    Check the nightly status report posted in the echomail stats echo for more info.

    I unzipped the new GDYN 1.3.1 today and my Virus Scanner MS Defender jumped all over the GalaticDynasty.exe file as having a Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml virus attached ... however, I scanned the very same package with MalwareBytes and it was clean .. Any thoughts ?

    It did that for me too. It's a false positive.

    Yep, I trust Apam and it's a false positive :)

    Yep, I trust Apam and it's a false positive :)

    Thanks :) I think it might be caused by me compiling it with MingW on
    linux rather than Visual Studio, but then plenty of things there come up
    with false positives too.

    Usually it's the reputation system (relatively very few people use
    Galactic Dynasty - or other BBS things i write) so it almost always
    displays a warning that you have to click through, but this one seems to
    be the signature for the virus is also in my Galactic Dynasty executable,
    and I wonder if it's because the virus may have also been compiled using
    Mingw.

    Either way, it's annoying, and I'm sorry I don't really know how to get
    around it :(
