    Hi

    Soo.. I created a Patreon Page.

    I'm not sure what to put as benefits as I give everything away for free.

    I know some of you are doing it tough as well, so I don't really expect
    anyone will sign up, but I need to try. Things are a probably going to
    be even tighter here as my wife may be losing hours next year, we'll
    manage I am sure, but I want to try and do something to contribute a bit
    more.

    Even though I'm setting this page up, if no one signs up I'll still be
    working on what I work on.

    a stupid thing to do but rent is criminal in this area.

    Yep totally understand.

    Yeah, rent isn't as bad here as it is on the coast or in the city, but
    it still isn't great, and it keeps going up I don't really understand
    how they can justify it, and it's getting to the point we could rent
    somewhere better for the same price or even less - but I guess once
    we're there they'll start upping the price too. Banking on the hassle of
    moving I think.

    If you want to sign up when you can, that's cool - but don't feel
    pressured, you've contributed heaps with your testing etc. Every one
    has, and I feel guilty putting the page up to be honest.

    Hmm, have to keep it in mind. Now's not a good time with a period of uncertain finances ahead and the rest of my summer program to pay for, but things should settle down early in 2020. Once the cashflow crunch is out of the way, I should be able to throw something in. :)

    We can't move. They can only raise our rent 6% a year so while we pay
    $1450 a month utilities are included. If we moved out and back into
    the same apartment it's currently renting for $1775 PLUS utilities.

    To rent a house in this city in a bad neighbourhood $2100 a month plus
    utilities. Hell when I seperated a couple years back I was paying
    $800 a month to rent a room and I was happy to have it.
