Am attempting to set up nested menus for my doors. For instance...the Sunrise
& others which I've setup want to be in the beginning menu. Below the listing...I have a command for (D) DOS Doors & (N) Networked Games with each set up under their own separate menus. When they are chosen...then BBS closes down & have to restart it. Under DOS...I have the Local & Networked buttons which kill the node.

On the other hand...when I set up each menu separately off the Main
Menu...goes right to it without any problem. Not sure if doing nested menus will work...but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Was attempting to setup some local message bases for my local friends who
want to talk about Doctor Who & such...with our favorite shows which I may
have to watch in the future. I set up each message base under local...but
they show up under every network I run...including Local.

Is there any way I may not be doing right to set up my own local bases which don't show up under every network I'm running?

    Thank you!

I'd have to see what you're using for passing back and forth to different menus.

You have to set the group in the access for each message base. So, say you
have a message group just called Local. Its ID is 1. Under each message
base's access, you'd set at least g1 to tell Mystic to only show when the
Local message group is selected. You can also chain access, which a lot of people do to further refine access. s50g1 would be user level 50, message group 1.

Don't forget to show what you're using for menus for the issue you're having. It'd probably be easier to save screenshots and post them somewhere, and then just give a link to them here for us to look at.

Gotta be at work in about an hour...but with the next 2 days off...will get
to work on getting this done. (Don't like working till close...but much
better than at 6 AM...which I was born at & my body has never let me forget it.) ;)

Thank you for getting back to me about this.

This sounds like you are sending the menu option to a menu that doesn't
exist. When you choose D for Dos Doors make sure you are sending it to a menu that exists say DOSMENU but make sure you have that menu created. If the menu does not exist the BBS will log you off. This sounds like what is happening
to you.. Or am I not understanding this correctly???

Got the file & message bases fixed. Just hope a beginning sysop learns from
    my mistake.

One good thing...haven't met a nasty person in any of the nets over here. I'm to the point where I'm just kicking myself I didn't take the leap earlier.

A beginner sysOp will definitely learn from your mistake. You learned from my mistake.. :)

This net (fsxNet) is probably one of the most friendly nets available, not taking away from the others, but with the amount of posts that flow daily everyone just wants to help. There are times when I will post a plea for help on something that I want to do and I will get responses from just about everyone helping me. If you have any questions just ask.. :) I am not expert, but others are! LOL

You hit it right on the head why I gave up F***B*** to do this after around
    30 years.
