    I have written a new software program that will allow you to drop to shell
    from Mystic. It will likely work with other BBS packages as well. It allows
    you to specify your own password (as well as use the built in mystic sysop access password) so you get double security as they can be different
    passwords.

    It currently supports BASH with full color, and supports ksh and sh with some limitations.

    How is this different from just running an external command such as BASH from Mystic's "Execute External Command"?

    I have such a command already. Just type exit to jump back into the BBS.

    The software allows an additional layer of security with another password you specific. It also supports 3 terms plus the windows version will support cmd.

    I also adjusted bash to allow for proper screen alignment as well as colored directory listing and all the cool stuff you come to love with bash.

    You may have gotten yours to work, but its a bit of a pain. This program does it all for you.

    Sounds like you're a lot like me. Always writing custom code to get what you want. I wrote a Mystic to Non-Fossil door port redirector so I can play my beloved vintage Door Games on the board. I still owe a few people the file
    and a writeup.
