• G Global Personal Scan

From Gregory Deyss@21:1/101 to All on Thu Feb 6 18:20:00 2020
I am having a problem when I am within the message menu and I use G for
Global Personal Scan it begins the scan for about 1 second and then
disconnects me from the BBS, I am connecting from my laptop to BBS via a
    telnet connection.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Thanks

You could have two "G" menu items. One for Global personal scan and the other for Goodbye. That or you are using a Global menu which includes the Goodbye command.

Nope I already check that, G on the MAIN MENU is good-bye and /G is for fast good bye, G within the message menu is for Global personal scan. There is no means to log off from the message or the file menu only via the MAIN MENU.

Could it be that the personalcan.mnu is missing?

I believe Mystic disconnects if you try to load a non-existent menu (G from
the message menu loads the "personalscan" menu)...

    Best regards

I wonder if there is an issue with one of the message bases your global scan
    is trying to process?

I would be a good idea to update to A44 as this will remove some issues with messages being purged incorrectly due to the year 2020

I'm going to forward my reply to the Mystic FSX_MYS echo and perhaps we can pick the thread up there.

    Best, Paul

Do you have an error in your errors.log? Or does the node log for that node show anything in particular that might point to a cause?
