Has anyone generated a 40 column theme for Mystic they are willing to share?
I never saw someone do it but I was working on one at one point, only to decide to stop until after the new theme system. Currently in the new theme system I turned off the "40 Column" option in theme settings but I can try to get that reenabled for you if its something you want to work on.
I'm interested in the theme as I have 40 column callers. Not sure how the message editor/reader will respond.........
The editor can run in 40 column mode when the theme is set to a 40 column theme. I removed that with the new theme system though because I was going to redo that stuff and I had never seen anyone ever use it.
still looks like 80 columns for 80 column users. This theme though is as close to an Image BBS as it comes, I just haven't finished the Message base menus and screens, I will try to finish it up this weekend and send
I tried running the 40 column theme for awhile, but the previous message reader that you disabled did not like 40 columns. It always ran in 80 columns unless I was doing something wrong.
Sure, have it hatched out when it is ready. I will call in and check it out.
Unable to look at your theme with the terminal emulator I have that runs in 40 columns. The keyboard has no way to press the <ESC> key. The computer I am using is a TI-99/4A.

Got the files and installed it. Definitely a lot of customization I
would have to edit in the various files.
What I did see was in your menu display, you must have about 20 character spaces over to center things perhaps for screen wider than 40 characters???
In ANSI or ASCII mode, the spacing was there.

Yup using the I call them MCI commands I push the cursor over to column
41 so it gives a pseudo 40 column feel but when calling in at 80 columns it prints in 80.. Definitely a lot of customization to it, probably has
my BBS name all over it too..
of that software defaulted to 80 columns. I'm not sure if ANSI has some kind of interrogation for column width, or if it just assumes that if it answered when inquiring about ANSI capability, it is 80 columns.
Yup using the I call them MCI commands I push the cursor over to column
