• Noob question about FILES Groups & Areas

From Don Rolo@21:4/167 to All on Sat Feb 29 23:38:36 2020

I have two GROUPS in the FILES section of my BBS.

One GROUP is for fsxNet (the one that has FSX_INFO & FSX_NODE).

And the other GROUP, is for the rest of the files I want to upload (I called this AREA "The Vault"). For now it only has two AREAS (C64 Games & UPLOADS (this last one is the one that comes by default).

The problems is these last two AREAS (C64 Games & UPLOADS) also appears in the fsxNet group files menu :( and I can∩t get them out of there.

In short: I have the BBS local files GROUPS also replicated in the fsxNet GROUP.

How can I move them from one GROUP to another or just get rid of the local
BBS files from the fsxNet AREA?
I tried everything but I couldn't do it...
    Thanks in advance!

We would need to see your group and area configurations, but generally
speaking in the "List ACS" for each file base area you need to define which groups it should show up in.

So if you have File Group ID 1 "My Files" and Group ID 2 "FSX Files" then for bases you want to show up in Group ID 2 you'd need to be a "z2" in the List
ACS for those bases, telling it that they should show up in group 2 only.

You will need to set the "List ACS" in the File Base Editor for each file area to:

    z<file group ID>

    ...e.g.:

    z1

...for all file areas that should "belong" to the file group with ID 1.
And z2 for all file areas that should "belong" to the file group with ID 2.

This is how it looks for my "Uploads" file area:

    █▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ID 1 ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▄
