Well here goes; I've put off, for more than a year, installing Python on 32-bit Windows. I have Python 2.7.5 installed and working fine.
However, I have found that many of the scripts I want to deploy require additional Python modules that I don't have. Dateutil is one example. Installing these modules is proving difficult given the version 2.7 limitation of Mystic. Ive tried installing both pip and setuptools so that I can install the modules but none will install under Python 2.7.5 and the setup.py for Dateutil will not run without pip and setuptools.
Seems I was not on the latest version of 2.7. After installing 2.7.18 I was ab e to install the modules I needed. Of course, there are other problems getting these Python scripts to work but none related to the modules.
Sorry for taking up the bitspace with this....
